I rarely go into DeviantArt anymore (sorry!) but today my husband asked me to check something with my St.ash account.  So I logged in, and afterwards looked at my old drawings in my St.ash, and found a drawing that made me "d'aww" as I remembered drawing it.

My husband told me I should post it, so here is the sketch. Keep in mind, it's more than two years old and in need of some serious editing, but I like the reference. Bonus if you know where it's from!

I JUST hit 100 watchers! Eee!!  I....I feel a little sad that I've been on DA for 6 years and only now hit 100, BUT THAT'S OKAY!!!

So I dabble in photography and draw non-pony things, and every once in a while it makes it onto a DevArt account..a different one than this one.  I figured I'd reserve this account for fan art and that one for other types of art.

I HATE her wings.  I hate them.  They're princess wings. I wish they were Pegasus wings!  She's still small - her wings should be small.  And Twilight flying kinda freaked me out.  It looked unnatural.  BUT the episode was done pretty well.  I mean, I know they HAD to make her a princess for Hasbro and all, I just wish they 1) could have made the episode longer and 2) didn't have to do it YET.  But yeah, the thing about the cutie marks was resolved REALLY quickly.  Too bad it wasn't a two parter.  That would have been awesome.  And the outfits the girls wore during the coronation were cute.  And Flutterdopplegangers at the coronation.  

I don't know.  This whole "princess" thing is weird.  

I have to admit, though, the whole cutie marks thing made me sad when I first heard the leaked song for it.  It made me sad that they were SO run by their cutie marks, that to change them would change their destiny and will them to do things they didn't want to do.

Also...so....to become a princess, one has to make a spell that....reflects something they're good at?  I'm....still not sure what the process is here.  And does that mean only unicorns can become princesses?  And why is Twi the only non-relative of Celestia who's figured this ou---I don't get it.  I didn't get much sleep last night.  And far be it for me to overthink a children's show. None of us do that, right?

ANYWAYS.  I should probably write another entry for later today when it's up to watch and I don't have to rely on my foggy half-sleep deprived memory.

On an unrelated note, my cat, Valentine, is currently sitting on top of my leg in a very not-so-subtle attempt to get me to get up and feed him his breakfast.  It IS his birthday today, so I probably should get to it...

Hmm, wonder where my cat got his name from.
