Written in the past 5 or 6 days: about two pages.

Drawn in that time: Tons of sketches I refuse to finish until I finish my story.

Apparently, I can't have my cake and eat it, too.

Other things I've discovered about myself:

*It's damn near impossible for me to draw any obvious shipping.
*Though I wasn't fond of the episode, Daring Do is now becoming my favorite character.
*I have trouble working on anything creative if it's not the dead of night.
*I am ten times more critical of anything I do if it's a request, so it takes fifty times longer to do.
*It hurts when a Canada Goose flaps it's wing and hits your hand.  Powerful bastards!

Anything, I'm writing this because I'm avoiding working on a story, so I should probably just do it and get something out.  The best cure for writer's block is to keep writing, right?

I love Canadian Geese. We have a bunch that roam around our town. Have you ever heard them hiss at you? I didn't know birds could his.

Yep. And I have cockatiels, so I know all about birds hissing ^_^; Having a Barn Owl hiss at you is a whole other thing! Now, THAT'S scary! Or when they screech...that just chills you to the core.

I was trying to take pics of them and that startled me. Other birds hiss too? Wow. I have heard an owl screech and it's very scary. We have a huge tree that one lives in right outside my window and it loves to wake me up in the middle of the night.

Yep! Many species of birds hiss to do exactly what those geese did to you ^_^; Scare away a potential threat. Cockatiels, for example, will hiss while crouching low and rocking back and forth. Apparently, parids (tits and chickadees) do this, as well.

Waking up in the middle of the night to an own screeching....not cool. We have Great Horned Owls in the area, so if we hear them, it's usually just a "Who-OOO! Who..Who..".

It freaked me out a lot more after watching The Fourth Kind. But I love owls, they're just so majestic. I wish I could have one as a pet, one of the smaller ones...that would be awesome.

I'm guessing the sound was the same as in the Fourth Kind? Owls are pretty epic. So you'd want a small owl as a pet? Screech Owls are pretty dang cute...Once, I had one jump on my hand while I was changing out his water. Tiny pinpricks in my hand >_< But I stick with domestic animals - dogs, cats, common psittacines like budgies and tiels. And fish >_< I have a little dwarf green pea puffer - he is the CUTEST thing.

I had a little puffer. Got it from Walmart since our pet store didn't offer any puffers. He was so cute. But having kitties and trying to keep them away from the fishies is hard work...they didn't eat him, I gave him to someone who could take care of him better. But still. I don't know if we'd be allowed to have owls as pets.
